An avid martial arts student, Liew loves kickboxing. The Shadow Boxing series reflects his effort in blending the spirit of martial arts with fine art. According to the artist, Shadow Boxing depicts the sparring of a human's mind as we constantly battle within ourselves, our own fierce enemy.
In “Shadow & Light 2.0”, Liew also takes the opportunity to explore his unique style of light and shadow into his newly developed Musician series to express the aesthetic of musical elements.
